Council Clerk: <br />Mr. Limpert: Yes <br />Mr. Glassburn: Yes <br />Ms. Hemann: Yes <br />Mr. Shymske: Yes <br />Ms. Gilchrist: Yes <br />Mr. Scarl: Yes <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Ordinance 2024-97 is amended by a vote of 6-0. <br />Councilman Limpert: <br />And Mr. President, I think I didn't give the end time to my Committee, the Committee <br />concluded at 8:07 p.m., and this concludes my report. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Thank you, Councilman Scarl, Vice Chair of the Recreation, Public Parks, and Buildings <br />Committee, do you have a report this evening? <br />Councilman Scarl: <br />I do, Mr. President, thank you. <br />The Recreation, Public Parks, and Building Committee met on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at <br />8:07 p.m. Present were Committee Members Scarl and Limpert, Council Members Gilchrist, <br />Glassburn, Limpert, and Madden. Council President Brossard, the Mayor, Directors of <br />Finance, HR, Economic Development, Safety and Service, and the Special Assistant to the <br />Mayor, and guests. <br />• On the agenda was Resolution 2024-90, which is the Community Development Block <br />Grant for funding the ADA improvements to Town Hall. Director Upton explained the <br />grant amount is $150,000 with no match required. The grant will go towards $7,000 <br />for an ADA -compliant motorized door, $75,000 for an ADA -compliant ramp, $50,000 <br />for the HVAC system upgrade, and some funds for communication systems. Director <br />Upton noted that if the grant is not awarded, the city has $235,000 from last year's <br />appropriations, which could be used for waterproofing and other critical <br />improvements, making that a funding potential of roughly $485,000, which includes <br />$100,000 from the State Capital Budget. He also reported that the project cost is <br />estimated to be between $1.5 to $2 million. After no further questions, Resolution <br />2024-90 was favorably recommended to Council by a vote of 2-0, and that <br />Committee meeting concluded at 8:13 p.m. <br />I have one more meeting for the park. These are the meeting minutes from North Olmsted <br />Community Park Phase One Committee Meeting that we had on August 27, 2024, at 6:00 <br />p.m. in the Caucus room. <br />• A few items on the agenda here were to review codified ordinances for fencing <br />requirement around ponds, bio -retention area, parking lot comments, we had three <br />of them: <br />I. Shift to the south to allow new path to run on the northern edge of the <br />parking lot.
