FRONTAGEIMPROVEMENTS <br />Edges <br />Frontage improvements cover a range of details <br />that impact perception, access and use. The <br />corridor is characterized by large sections of <br />unbuffered surface parking lots, unregulated <br />signage, and excessive curb cuts (in both number <br />and size). <br />A focus on reallocating a zone up to 20' adjacent <br />to the sidewalk along the private property side wilt <br />allow the ability to include. <br />• enhanced landscaping <br />• green infrastructure <br />• street trees <br />• expanded transit waiting areas <br />From a transportation perspective, frontage <br />improvements should address access <br />management considerations — consolidating <br />driveways to better organize traffic flow and safety <br />along the corridor. <br />Once implemented, this frontage zone will help <br />to reduce visual clutter along the corridor, calm <br />traffic, and provide safer interactions between cars <br />and pedestrians. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED I CITY ARCHITECTURE I WSP <br />
