4 G S.02. FOP/OLCDues Deduction. , <br />-_lfty (W) days Of The Employer <br />agrees to deduct FOP/OLC dues from any member of the bargaining unit who provides written <br />authorization for a payroll dues and fees deduction. <br />"S.03. Indemnification. to A dues ftom�� <br />The <br />FOP/OLC shall indemnify the Employer and hold it harmless against any and all claims, demands, <br />suits, or other liability that may arise by reason of any action of the Employer in complying with <br />the provisions of this Article. <br />ARTICLE * 6 <br />WORK WEEKISCHEDULED HOURS <br />3-4 6.01. Workdav/fPorkweek for 8 -Hour Shifts/Double Backs. A workweek is defined as forty <br />(40) hours for all employees scheduled on eight (8) hour rotations. For the purpose of this <br />agreement, a workday is defined as continuous eight (8) hour period in any twenty-four (24) hour <br />period, except during those periods in which a double back occurs. A double back is defined as <br />the work period in which an employee completes a shift and starts another shift or assignment <br />within the same twenty-four (24) hour period. Double backs required by the Employer will be paid <br />at time and a half (1'/z). (Note: Relocated to 1� sentence) <br />6.02. Workdav/Work Period for Alternative Shift Operations <br />A. Work Period/OT. An eighty (80) hour work period is utilized for employees scheduled <br />on twelve (12) or ten (10) hour rotations/operation. For twelve (12) hour shift <br />scheduling, an eight (8) hourshift is integrated into the work period &IOaCompensation <br />for regularly scheduled eight (8) hour days in the twelve (12) hourschedule shall beat the <br />straight -time rate of pay. Time and one-half (1 112) is paid to the employee for hours <br />worked in excess of the eighty (80) hour work period. <br />B. 12 -Hour Shift Operations. A workday is defined as continuous twelve (12) hour period <br />in any twenty-four (24) hour period while on a twelve (12) hour rotation. The twelve <br />(12) hour shiift schedule shall be comprised of a day schedule and a night schedule with <br />actual hours to be determined by the Chief of Police or his/her designee. <br />C. 10 -Hour Shift Operations. A workday is defined as a continuous ten (10) hour period <br />in any twenty-four (24) hour period while on a ten (10) hour schedule, with actual hours <br />to be determined by the Chief of Police or his/her designee. <br />603. SchedulelBiddine. The Chief of Police or designee shall allow employees to indicateshift <br />preference, but otherwise shall determine and schedule all shifts in accordance with Police <br />Department Policy and operational needs. <br />4863-5]139656, v.5 <br />
