shall not alter the date of hire or seniority of said lateral transfer employees relative to any <br />other benefits or preferences, particularly with respect to scheduling of Holidays, Vacations, <br />or other time off to be determined by the Chief of Police. <br />ARTICLE LX 11 <br />HOLIDAYS/PERSONAL DAYS <br />9=# 11.01. Desienoted Holidays. All bargaining unit members shall be entitled to certain <br />holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to <br />work by the Chief of Police. Rate ofPav for Holiday Work/Holiday Time. Each employee shall receive time and <br />a half (1 1/2) pay for all hours worked, if required to work on the below designated holidays, or <br />receive time off in lieu thereof at the discretion of the Chief of Police. If any of the bargaining <br />unit members work on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day, he/she shall be compensated at two (2) <br />times their regular hourly rate of pay (double time compensation) for any and all hours worked <br />within the twenty-four (24) hour period of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. <br />A. For the purpose of this section, the holidays shall be New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter, <br />Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, <br />Christmas Day, Veteran's Day and President's Day and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. <br />Each employee shall receive one hundred forty-four (144) hours of holiday pay per year. Such <br />holiday time off shall continue to be scheduled in accordance with Police Department Policy, and <br />no request shall be unreasonably denied. <br />11.03. Personal Day. Each employee will receive one (])personal day to be scheduled off in <br />accordance with Police Department Policy. <br />ARTICLE X 11 <br />VACATIONS <br />I 12.01. AceruallSchedule.
