Recreation Public Parks and Buildings Committee Councilwoman Hemann: I do not, but if I may have a moment of privilege? Council President Brossard: Of course. Councilwoman Hemann: I have two things, thank you Director Gareau for all the long hard work on the Westbury. It was an eye sore in my ward, it was just a myriad of problems, so thank you, it does look much better, and I look forward to it being completely renovated. I did also want to make mention if I could quickly about when you're at the checkout, you're asked, would you like to round up to whatever in support of something, right? So, since all of you know, 1 can't stay home and not be busy, I am the secretary at Max Hayes High School. I got a call one day from a Kids in Need Foundation looking to supply 600 or so backpacks and school supplies, of all things, through the Chipotle roundup, and we have two of them in our city. Truly, it was all free, they shipped it to us, all these backpacks. It truly was amazing to me to find out that the money actually goes toward whatever you're asked to round up for that charity, and that it was Chipotle was even kind of more interesting to me since we are building the new one and we have the other established. So I would just like to say it's true. It's a real thing, and if you're asked to round up, please consider it because it does work. Thank you. Council President Brossard: Thank you. Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee, do you have a report? Finance Committee Councilman Glassburn: Yes, I do, Mr. President. The Finance Committee met on November 26th, all of the Council and all of the Directors were present. • On the agenda was 2024-114, the temporary budget. A temporary appropriation was presented without revenue estimates. A PDF file of the expenditure printouts that had been given and revenue estimates were requested for the next hearing. The legislation was held 3-0, motion made by Councilman Glassburn, seconded by Councilman Limpert, and meeting was adjourned. • Today I asked Clerk Taylor to send out requests to Directors for further information on new initiatives for the next meeting as well.
