MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 4, 2025 <br />Council President Pro Tempore Scarl: <br />The Council meeting of February 4, 2025 will now please come to order at 7:30 p.m. The <br />audience is invited to join Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />All: <br />1 pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it <br />stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. <br />Council President Pro Tempore Scarl: <br />Will the Clerk please call the roll? <br />Council Clerk: <br />Mr. Brossard: [absent] <br />Ms. Gilchrist: Here <br />Ms. Hemann: Here <br />Mr. Limpert: Present <br />Mr. Madden: Here <br />Mr. Marrie: Here <br />Mr. Scarl: Present <br />Mr. Shymske: Here <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Council President Pro Tempore Scar]: <br />Thank you. If there are no additions or corrections, the Council Meeting minutes of January 21, <br />2025 are approved as written. <br />Also this evening, there's one item to be considered for suspension of the rules, on first <br />reading, Resolution 2025-18. <br />Moving into reports, Mayor Dailey Jones, do you have a report this evening? <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />I do, Mr. President. <br />Like everyone else, I was disappointed to hear the news from Moen last Wednesday. <br />First and foremost, my heart goes out to the employees of Moen, many of whom have <br />worked there for decades, and especially those that live here in North Olmsted. The <br />decision by Moen affects many people and their families. Fortune Brands, which owns <br />Moen, made the decision to consolidate their corporate offices in Illinois and leave <br />three communities, the Master Lock headquarters in Wisconsin, Roll in Irvine, California, <br />
