at a property value of $15,000. The purchase is being paid from a 540 special revenue <br />account for land purchase within our funds. This property will complete the acquisition <br />to complete the Forest property, development site, I should say. There will be an <br />additional small spend for closing and other administrative costs. The motion to <br />recommend Ordinance 2025-9 to all Council was approved by a vote of 3-0. <br />Next on the agenda was Ordinance 2025-11, which was an Ordinance granting 0.01 acre <br />access easement across permanent parcel number 231-27-067, located adjacent to the <br />right of Woodside Drive for the purpose of driveway access for the new home <br />construction proposed on parcel 231-30-02, declaring an emergency, and that motion <br />was recommended for approval to all of Council by a vote of 3-0. That driveway would <br />be located there on Woodside versus Walter Road. <br />Last on the agenda was PDC Case 183-2024, Fieldstone Developers, which was located <br />at 31351 Industrial Parkway. Director Upton noted this is an amendment to an <br />approved plan as additional parking was required, and that parking overlaps the other <br />piece of property as part of that split lot property by 10 feet. Both properties are owned <br />by Fieldstone Developers, and there was a motion to recommend that to all Council by a <br />vote of 3-0. Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Recreation, Public Parks, and Buildings <br />Committee, do you have a report this evening? <br />Recreation Public Parks and Buildings Committee <br />Councilwoman Hemann: <br />I do, thank you, Mr. President Pro Tem. The Recreation, Public Parks, and Buildings Committee <br />met on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, to discuss Resolution 2025-7, a Resolution authorizing the <br />Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract for Barton Bradley Park parking lot <br />improvements, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to <br />contract for same with the lowest and best bidder. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Hemann, Scarl, and Limpert, Council President <br />Brossard, Council members Gilchrist, Madden, Marrie, and Shymske, the Mayor, Law Director, <br />HR Director, Economic Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, and Mr. Filarski, our City <br />Engineer. <br />The City Engineer, Mr. Filarski, discussed that the bid specifications are to include the <br />area on the east and west ends of the parking lot at Barton Bradley, which will be paved, <br />while some other smaller areas on the north side will remain gravel. That there will be <br />an auxiliary parking lot, and on the south side, there will be a drop-off area where <br />parents can safely unload their children, along with their sports equipment. In addition <br />to the paving work, there will also be some work completed to address the sewer and <br />water retention requirements, as well as crosswalk markings, ramps, and raised <br />crosswalks to deter motorists from driving too fast. The project is expected to cost <br />approximately $440,000.00 and will be funded by the bond to be taken out for the park <br />project.
