This Friday is the start of our annual fish fries at Springville Ballroom. The fish fries are from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. As always, the cash tips will go to support the local groups that are serving the food. This Friday, it will be the North Olmsted High School After Prom. The other groups participating... on March 14th: St. Brendan's; March 21n: Kiwanis and Key Club; March 28th: The Bretton Ridge Women's Club; and on April 4th: The North Olmsted Boys Soccer Organization; and we wrap up this year on April 11th with: I Wear Gray for Calvin. I encourage Council and all of our residents to attend this great event and support good local causes. And finally, our twice a year paper shredding and computer equipment recycling collection sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District is March 22nd from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the North Olmsted Recreation Center. As in the past, this will be a drive-thru service. We will accept two boxes or bags per resident. Computer recycling happens at the same time, but we will not accept computers from businesses, and that, Mr. President, concludes my report. Council President Brossard: Thank you, Mayor. Director of Law Gareau, do you have a report this evening? Law Law Director Gareau: Thank you, Mr. President, no report this evening. Finance Finance Director Copfer: All right, thank you, and Director of Finance Copfer, do you have a report this evening? Finance Director Copfer: Yes, I do. • I want to thank Councilman Scarl for facilitating a great budget hearing process, especially considering it was his first time in charge of it. Where, I think, the Council and the Administration had frank discussions on future pressure points, as well as programs and services that have changed, such as dispatch services. So it was a good day of budget hearings. • The auditors will be here next week, starting their interim field work, and hopefully they'll be able to use the back conference room. Otherwise, they're going to be sitting right here, and that concludes my report. Council President Brossard: Thank you, Director.
