MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 18, 2025 <br />Council President Brossard: <br />The Council meeting of March 18, 2025 will now please come to order at 7:30 p.m. The <br />audience is invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />All: <br />I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it <br />stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Will the clerk please call the roll? <br />Council Clerk: <br />Mr. Brossard: Present <br />Ms. Gilchrist: Here <br />Ms. Hemann: Here <br />Mr. Umpert: Present <br />Mr. Madden: Here <br />Mr. Marrie: Here <br />Mr. Scarf: Present <br />Mr. Shymske: [absent] <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Council President Brossard: <br />All right, if there are no additions or corrections, the Council Meeting Minutes of March 4, 2025 <br />are approved as written. <br />There is no legislation being requested for suspension this evening, which moves us into <br />reports. <br />Mayor Daley -Jones, do you have a report this evening? <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />I do, Mr. President, on this day of your birth [laughing], thank you. <br />At the State of the City, you heard me speak of our Priority Traffic Safety Improvement <br />Area from Columbia Road to Walter Road. The two key projects within that are the new <br />four-way stop at Walter and Lorain, and the realignment of Columbia Road. Our <br />Economic Development Director and I went to D.C. last week to meet with our <br />lawmakers. We were able to meet with U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno, Sean Dunn, the <br />Chief Legal Counsel to U.S. Senator John Husted, Congressman Max Miller, and his D.C. <br />
