Councilwoman Gilchrist, Chairwoman of the Streets and Transportation Committee, <br />do you have a report this evening? <br />Streets and Transportation Committee <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist: <br />Yes, Mr. President, I do have a report. The Streets and Transportation Committee met on <br />Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2025-27. Unfortunately, there were <br />not enough Committee Members in attendance for a quorum, so the meeting could not be held <br />and the meeting closed at 7:15 p.m. <br />The Streets and Transportation Committee met again on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 6:55 p.m. to <br />discuss Resolution 2025-27. Present were Committee Members Gilchrist, Madden, and <br />Hemann, Council Members Mande, Scarl, and Shymske, Council President Brossard, the Mayor, <br />the HR Director, the Economic Director, and guests. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Resolution 2025-27, a Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Economic and Community Development to advertise for bids for the <br />award of a contract for the resurfacing of Dover Center Road from Mill Road to the <br />Northern Corporate Line, in the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in the specifications <br />on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter <br />into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. Director Upton explained that we were <br />authorizing the City to put out bids for Phase 1 of the project, which would be <br />completed in the summer of 2025 before school resumed, and is just from Mill Road to <br />the Northern Corporate Line. In 2026, we were reminded that Mill Road to Butternut <br />Ridge Road would be completed. Resolution 2025-27 was favorably recommended to <br />04-01-25 Council Meeting Minutes - Page 6 <br />
