CITY OF NORTH OI.MSTED ORDINANCE NO.2025 - 37 BY: Mayor hoes AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, PURSUANT TO SECTION 941.01 (d) OF THE STREETS, UTILITIES AND PUBLIC SERVICES CODE, TO CONTRBUTE 100% OF THE COSTS INCURRED FOR REFUSE COLLECTION BY OWNERS OF CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES NOT OTHERWISE AUTHORIZED TO RECEIVE REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICES FROM THE CITY OF NORTH OL MSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, mile spring of 2011 the City ofNOM Olmsted phased in a new and revised system of refuse collection by and trough the use of automated collection and, consequently, this Council adaptedrevised standards for refine collection in Chapter 941 (Ord. 2012-5); aed WHEREAS, Ord. 2022-79 was adopted by the City Council emending Chapter 941.01(d) by authorizing the City of North Olmsted to contribute an agreed -upon sum towmd the cost of refuse pick-up service for residential structures on rwn-dedicated streets and not otherwise entitled to collection services from the City, when said residential structures we otherwise in compliance with the provisions of Chapter Ml as it regulates residential structures on "dedicated streets'; and WHEREAS, Pursuant to and in accordance with Section %1 01(d), this Comm0 via Ord. 2022-121 authorized the City of North Olmsted to partially contribute twenty—five percent (25%) of the costs incurred for refuse collection by owners of certain residential structures not otherwise authorized to receive refuse collection; and WHEREAS, Pursuant to Ord. 2023-127, this Council again authorized the City of North Olmsted in 2024 to partially contribute an amount not to exceed fifty percent (50 e) of the costs incurred for refuse collection by owners of certain residential structures not otherwise authorized in receive refuse collection; and WHEREAS, Pursuenr in Ord. 2024-89, this Council again autboru ed the City of North Olmsted in 2024 to partially contribute an amount not to exceed seventy-five percem (75%a) of the costs incurred for refuse collection by owners of certain residenfial structures not otherwise authorized N receive refuse collection; and WHEREAS, the Admivstration and this Council wish for the City of North Olmsted to again increase participation in costs by paying one hundred percent 0WK) of the cost of refuse collection for residential structures on non -dedicated streets, but that are otherwise in compliance with the provisions of Chapter %I, in the year 2026.
