Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee <br />Councilman Shymske: <br />No report, Mr. President. Thank you. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Thank you. Councilman Marrie, Chairman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee, do <br />you have a report this evening? <br />Intra-Governmental Relations Committee <br />Councilman Marrie: <br />Yes, I do, Mr. President. Thank you. The Intra-Govern mental Relations Committee met on <br />Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 6:45 p.m. Present were Committee Members Marrie and Shymske, <br />Councilmembers Scarl, Madden, and Limpert, the Mayor, Directors of Economic Development, <br />Service, HR, and the Special Assistant to the Mayor and guests. <br />• On the agenda was the interview of the Mayor's appointments of Mr. Kyle Wapshott <br />and Mrs. Nicole Storey to the Recreation Commission. Both Mr. Wapshott and Mrs. <br />Storey gave information on their background, which includes Mr. Wapshott having <br />worked for the Rec Center for many years during the summer while he was in high <br />school here in North Olmsted, and Mrs. Storey is an active and involved parent through <br />the Recreation Sports Programs. Their relevant experience and longstanding <br />involvement will be valuable assets to the Recreation Commission. The Committee and <br />Council thanked Mr. Wapshott and Mrs. Storey for their willingness to volunteer, and <br />the Committee voted 2-0 to recommend their appointments to the Recreation <br />Commission. <br />At this time, I move to approve the appointment of Mr. Kyle Wapshott and Mrs. Nicole Storey <br />to the Recreation Commission for the unexpired term of January 1, 2025, through December <br />31, 2028, and ask for a second. <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist: <br />Second. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Motion to approve the appointment of Kyle Wapshott and Nicole Storey to the Recreation <br />Commission for the unexpired term of January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2028, is made by <br />Councilman Marrie and seconded by Councilwoman Gilchrist.
