2. The illumination level at the property line of a parcel adjacent to a residential zoned <br />district shall not exceed one foot candle power. <br />3. Where used to illuminate signs or for decorative effects or for recreational facilities, <br />such as for building, landscape, or recreational field illumination, all outdoor light <br />fixtures shall be shielded and focused to minimize shining into the sky and upon <br />neighboring properties. <br />4. Developments shall provide street lighting for the illumination of public and private <br />roadways in accordance Chapter 1101 Subdivision of this Zoning Ordinance and to <br />the standards set forth in Table 1150.11(G). <br />5. Developments shall provide pedestrian lighting for the illumination of buildings, <br />streetscapes, pedestrian paths, and other public areas in accordance with this section <br />and the standards set forth in Table 1150.11(G). <br />6. The average illumination levels shall not be less than or exceed those required for <br />each lighting calculation area type. A lighting calculation area shall be defined as any <br />area where the illumination level equals or exceeds 0.2 footcandle. A light lost factor <br />(LLF) as recommended by the manufacturer subject to approval by the city may be <br />applied to all calculations. Illumination levels are identified in Table 1150 <br />TABLE 1150.11 a): ILLUMINATION STANDARDS <br />Sidewalks, streetscape, 1 foot candle 2 foot candles <br />pedestrian pathway, or <br />other pedestrian area <br />along a building frontage <br />or part of a public plaza or <br />public open space <br />Sidewalks, streetscape, <br />pedestrian pathway, or <br />other pedestrian area not <br />along a building frontage <br />0.5 foot candle 1 foot candle <br />Pedestrian Entrances 2 foot candles 4 foot candles <br />Primary Street 0.5 foot candle 2 foot candles <br />5 foot candles 15 foot candles <br />Secondary Street 0.5 foot candle 1 foot candle 10 foot candles 20 foot candles <br />Crosswalks 2 foot candle 4 foot candles <br />NORTH OLMSTED MALL AREA MIXED USE OVERLAY DISTRICT <br />
