4.4 Transportation, Connectivity& Pedestrian Mobility Goal. Conduct future roadway projects with the goal of calming traffic and promoting increased safety for all users through the inclusion <br />of Complete Streets details. <br />4.4a Prohibit the future use of additional -Lorain Road, Brookpark Road <br />right turn and slip lanes on primary <br />-Improve the safety of and reduce negative impacts on pedestrians and bicyclists <br />roads. <br />-Encourages slower vehicle speeds <br />4.4b Conduct demonstration projects in <br />-Lorain Road <br />areas of needed safety improvements. <br />4.4c Review city policies around traffic <br />-Lorain Road, Great Northern Boulevard, Brookpark Road, Columbia Road, and Mastick Road <br />calming elements to support the <br />-Raised crosswalks, chicanes, narrowing lanes, traffic circles/roundabouts, road diets, textured <br />inclusion of safety -enhancing details <br />pavement, gateway treatments, pedestrian refuges, extended sidewalks, street trees/ <br />on roadway projects as desired and <br />landscaping, signage/pavement markings, and speed cameras/enforcement <br />appropriate. <br />-Road diets on arterial streets when viable <br />-Discard "Level of Service" as a measurement to determine transportation investments <br />-improve the intersection of Lorain and Columbia Roads with re -alignment or re -configure of <br />traffic flow <br />Short -Mid <br />I CEng N/A <br />Term <br />Short Term :CEng NOACA Street Supplies <br />S <br />Short -Mid CEng TAP <br />Term ECDD SRTS <br />CC <br />4.4d Ensure transportation projects -City-wide Short -Long CEng N/A <br />do not disproportionately impact -incorporate Environmental Justice principles to ensure equitable redevelopment Term RUE <br />marginalized populations with pollution, <br />noise, or displacement.
