Section 13: Holidays and Personal Days That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the following holidays <br />off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies, and shall receive their regular rate of pay: New Year's <br />Day; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; Presidents' Day; Memorial Day; Juneteenth; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; the <br />day after Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Eve Day; Christmas Day; and New Year's Eve Day. Employees hired between January 1st <br />and June 30th of any given year shall receive three (3) personal days upon their date of hire. <br />All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired between July 1st and December 31st of any given year shall receive one and <br />one-half (1%) personal days upon their date of hire. Personal days must be used before the end of the year in which they were earned <br />and are not eligible for sell back. Following the first year of employment, these employees will earn their personal days on January 1 st <br />of each subsequent year. <br />Section 14: Vacation That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance <br />with Section 161.11 of the Administrative Code (based on Ordinance 1990-161). All previous service as an elected city public official <br />within the city shall be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick leave upon retirement. Sell back of earned <br />vacation for cash limited to two (2) weeks only. <br />Section 15: Boot and Clothina Allowance That the following full-time employees shall be reimbursed by the City in an amount not to <br />exceed $800 annually for the purchase or purchases of boots and clothing by such employees for use in their employment with the <br />City of North Olmsted: Road Foreman; Forestry Foreman; Storm Foreman; Fleet Manager; Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />Superintendent; Waste Water Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendents (Plant, Collections and Maintenance); Waste Water <br />Collection System Foreman; Laboratory Chemist; and Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor. The aforementioned allowance shall be <br />paid during the first pay period after January 1st of each year. Such allowance shall be prorated in the first and final year of <br />employment. However, where an employee retires under PIERS from City service, such proration shall be waived in the final year. <br />Section 16: Commercial Drivers License (CDL) That the following full-time employees who have a Class A CDL and were hired <br />prior to January 1, 2021, will receive an additional fifty-five cents per hour for all hours worked: Road Foreman; Forestry Foreman; <br />Storm Foreman; Fleet Manager; and Collection System Foreman. <br />Section 17: Electronic Deoosit All forms of compensation shall be paid by electronic deposit to commence at the City's <br />convenience, but not less than thirty (30) days after adoption of this ordinance. If it is determined that an employee is not bankable, <br />check will be issued for all forms of compensation for such employee. <br />Section 18: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with <br />the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 19: That this Ordinance shall hereby be declared an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council then it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATT ST: <br />Beatrice Taylo�. <br />Clerk of Council <br />P OVEQ: /s/ Michael R.
