<br />Section 10: That all pay ranges and amounts established will be effective no earlier than January 1st of the respective year. Salaries
<br />specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a biweekly basis.
<br />Section 11: Fair Labor Standards Act f"FLSA")/Compensatory V'Comp") Time That, upon approval of the Mayor or respective
<br />Director, all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance, except for those holding Elected or Director positions, the Police Chief,
<br />Police Captain, Fire Chief, and personnel determined by the City to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the "FLSA", will be paid
<br />time and one-half their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week, unless the Mayor or
<br />their respective Director has established and implemented a comp time policy for such personnel that is not in conflict with either the
<br />FLSA or Section 161.13 of the Administrative Code. Double time, or comp time if applicable, shall be paid to said personnel for
<br />Holidays provided they have worked at least forty (40) hours in the said work week.
<br />Section 12: Lonaevibi (a) That, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance who
<br />were hired by the City prior to January 1, 2005, having completed five (5) years of full-time service as an employee of the City shall be
<br />paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their tenth (10th)
<br />year of full-time service; after completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive five percent (5%) of
<br />their base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service; after
<br />completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive six percent (6%) of their base annual salary
<br />thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time service; and after completion of their
<br />twentieth (20th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base annual salary thereafter as
<br />longevity increments for so long as they continue to be full-time employees of the City.
<br />(b) Effective January 1, 2009, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance, having
<br />completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service and are being compensated longevity under the percent of base pay as of
<br />January 1, 2009, shall continue to receive the fixed amount on the base rate of pay on January 1, 2009, until such time as the table
<br />below provides a greater benefit, then the table will control.
<br />All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service as an employee of the
<br />City after January 1, 2009, shall be paid an additional five hundred dollars ($500.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until
<br />completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service; after completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time continuous service, such
<br />personnel shall receive one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their fifteenth
<br />(15th) year of full-time continuous service; after completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continous service, such personnel
<br />shall receive one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their twentieth
<br />(20th) year of full-time continuous service; after completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time continous service, such personnel
<br />shall receive two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) as annual longevity increments until completion of their twenty-fifth (25th) year of full-
<br />time continuous service; after completion of their twenty-fifth (25th) year of full-time continous service, such personnel shall receive two
<br />thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter for so long as they continue to be full-time
<br />employees of the City.
<br />(c) Full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired after April 30, 2008 shall not be entitled to receive longevity pay under either
<br />paragraph (a) or (b) above. Full-time elected officials shall not be entitled to receive longevity pay under either paragraph (a) or (b)
<br />above for terms of office that begin on the 1st day of January 2010, or thereafter.
