Commission. Ms. Kalin provided information on her background, including being an architect with extensive experience, including working with other community planning and design commission boards. One question was asked about her being employed by R. E. Warner, and any potential conflict of interest, and it was stated by the Director of Law that Ms. Kalin would recuse herself from any necessary discussions and/or votes. The Committee favorably voted to recommend the appointment of Ms. Kalin, 3-0, to the Planning and Design Commission. Mr. President, at this time, I move to approve the appointment of Ms. Jen Kalin to the Planning and Design Commission for the unexpired term of January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2028, and ask for a second. Councilwoman Gilchrst: Second. Council President Brossard: Motion to approve the appointment of Jen Kalin to the Planning and Design Commission to fill the unexpired term of January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2025, is made by Councilman Marrie and seconded by Councilwoman Gilchrist.
