• The annual Homecoming and Fireworks Celebration, sponsored by Great Northern Mall,
the North Olmsted Community Council, and the City of North Olmsted, was a great
success, drawing approximately 2,000 attendees over the course of the event. We're
pleased to report that there were no safety incidents, which is a direct reflection on the
careful planning and outstanding work of our Service Department and Safety Forces.
Their efforts ensured the event was well -coordinated, safe, and enjoyable for all who
attended.
• The new walking paths on the Phase 1 side of Community Park are now open to the
public. Residents have already begun utilizing the paths for walking, running, and
recreation. These improvements are part of our long-term investment in expanding and
enhancing recreational opportunities for our community.
• The City will host a 9-11 Memorial Service at Fire Station 1 on September 11th from 9:45
until 10:15 a.m., to reflect on the sacrifice and bravery of the first responders and
civilians, as well as to honor the ongoing dedication of our own police and fire
personnel. We hope that if your schedule allows that you may attend that event with us.
• As we transition into the fall season, our focus remains on maintaining safe and
successful city events, supporting our schools, honoring our shared history, and
continuing to invest in projects that improve the quality of life for North Olmsted
residents. That concludes my report, Mr. President.
Council President Brossard:
Thank you, Mayor. Director of Law Gareau, do you have a report this evening?
Law
Law Director Gareau:
Thank you, Mr. President. This year was another successful audit, commonly
referred to as a clean audit, with no findings and no comments. The report has been
posted on our website and is also available on the Auditor of State's website. If you have
any questions, as it's a very detailed report at 235 pages this year, please do not
hesitate to ask.
• July 2025 Monthly and Year -to -Date Summary and Detailed Reports were sent to
Council via email last week and subsequently posted on our website.
