such other services and perform such other duties consistent with the position as may be <br />required by the Director. <br />139.04 DIVISION OF POLICE. <br />There is hereby established a Division of Police within the Department of Public Safety. <br />The Division of Police shall be headed by the Chief of Police. <br />(a) Duties. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for the organization and supervision <br />of the Division of Police. Included within the supervisory authority of the Chief of Police <br />shall be sworn police officers of all ranks within the Division of Police, Central Emergency <br />Dispatchers, Correction Officers, Secretaries, Auxiliary Officers and School Crossing Guards. <br />The Chief of Police shall also perform all duties and exercise all authority granted to Chiefs <br />of Police in the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances, the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio <br />Administrative Code. <br />(b) Employees. The staffing of the Division of Police is hereby established and is <br />reflected in the organizational chart for the Department of Public Safety contained in <br />Section 139.99(b), which, as it pertains to this division only, is incorporated herein as if <br />fully rewritten. The Mayor shall establish the compensation of all employees of the Division <br />within the salary ranges established by City Council, to the extent that such compensation <br />is not otherwise established by contract, or federal, state, or local law. <br />(c) Petty Cash Fund. There is hereby established a petty cash fund in the amount of four <br />hundred dollars ($400.00) to be used for limited expenditures, including but not limited to <br />prisoner meals, under the supervision of the Chief of Police, and in accordance with <br />procedures established by the Finance Department. <br />139.05 DIVISION OF FIRE. <br />There is hereby established a Division of Fire within the Department of Public Safety. The <br />Division of Fire shall be headed by the Chief of Fire. <br />(a) Duties. The Chief of Fire shall be responsible for the organization and supervision of <br />the Division of Fire. Included within the supervisory authority of the Chief of Fire shall be <br />firefighters of all ranks, whether part-time or full time, and Secretaries. The Chief of Fire <br />shall also perform all duties and exercise all authority granted to Chiefs of Fire in the North <br />Olmsted Codified Ordinances, the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code. <br />(b) Employees.
