Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee <br />Councilwoman Hemann: <br />I do not, but if I may have a moment of privilege. Thank you. I will actually reserve my <br />comments because I will be here through the end of December, but I would like to thank all of <br />my colleagues for all of their help and support that they gave me in my campaign. I'd like to <br />thank all of our residents who supported me greatly in that campaign. It was five suburbs, a lot <br />of walking. I'm retiring the shoes I'm wearing when I go home, my campaign shoes. Each and <br />every suburb was very welcoming, and I am grateful to be leaving the residents of Ward 4 in the <br />very capable and competent hands of Maureen Carr, thank you. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Thank you. Councilman Scarl, Chairman of the Finance Committee, do you have a report this <br />evening? <br />Finance Committee <br />Councilman Scarl: <br />No report, Mr. President, thank you. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Councilman Madden, Chairman of the Environmental Control Committee, do you have a report <br />this evening? <br />Environmental Control Committee <br />Councilman Madden: <br />No report, Mr. President. Thank you. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Councilman Shymske, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, do you have <br />a report this evening? <br />Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee <br />Councilman Shymske: <br />Yes, I do, Mr. President. The Public Safety, Health, and Welfare Committee met on October 28, <br />2025, at 7:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Committee Members Shymske, Hemann and <br />Madden. Council Members Gilchrist, Limpert, Marrie and Scarl. Mayor Jones, the Director of <br />Law, Finance, Safety, and Service, the Police Chief, and Sergeant Pietro and guests. <br />• There was one item on the agenda, Resolution 2025-102, a purchase of a Polaris Ranger <br />XP1000. Director Scofield opened with a brief description of the vehicle. Then Chief <br />Wagner and Sergeant Pietro gave examples of things that have happened in North <br />Olmsted where this vehicle would be valuable. The Committee wanted more <br />information about additional apparatuses that need to be purchased, and it was held in <br />Committee, and the meeting ended at 7:21 p.m. <br />1.1.-05-25 Council Meeting Minutes Page 5 <br />
