There's no fence. What's going to stop it? It's just going to roll. I don't want that. November
26th, Wednesday. Now, this was right before Thanksgiving. I thought these high winds would
keep these kids in the house, but it didn't happen. November 26th at 2:20, her son and some
boy came in a light blue Buick SUV. I've only seen this car twice. It's a brand-new one. You
probably saw what the Buicks looked like. He showed up. They started kicking balls in the front
yard, bouncing, went right over the three-foot fence and landed in between the boxburn
bushes and the fence again. That kid just walked right through the opening and came around
and got the ball. Now, they're in here. If you want them, they're here. Take a look at them. I
want to tell you this. I'm done with that now, and I'm going to go to this last thing here. I
thought about this. I come down here two times a month, right, two meetings, two times a
month, two times 12 months. That's 24 times, Mayor, that you're going to see my face down
here. Then you've got a four-year term, four, right, four years, four times 24, almost 100 times I
am going to come down here and I'm going to complain to you that you're not helping me.
You're not stopping the balls. There's nothing else I can do. I don't want any balls on my
property. It's as simple as that. I'm done.
Council President Brossard:
Seeing no other comments from the audience, we will now move into legislation.
LEGISLATION
Council Clerk:
Legislation on third reading.
Resolution 2025-104, introduced by Mayor Jones. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to
advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide services to install a sanitary manhole with
parshall flume measuring device along MacKenzie Road, as detailed in the specifications on file in the
Division of Engineering, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to
contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder.
Councilman Madden:
Mr. President.
Council President Brossard:
Councilman Madden.
Councilman Madden:
I'd like to make a motion to adopt 2025-104 and ask for a second.
Councilman Marrie:
Second.
Council President Brossard:
A motion to adopt Resolution 2025-104 made by Councilman Madden, seconded by
Councilman Marrie. Roll call, please.
12-02-25 Council Meeting Minutes - Page 13
