MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 6, 2026 <br />Council President Brossard: <br />The Council meeting of May 6, 2026, will now please come to order at 7:31 p.m. The audience is <br />invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />All: <br />I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it <br />stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Will the Clerk please call the roll? <br />Council Clerk: <br />Mr. Brossard: Present <br />Ms. Carr: Present <br />Ms. Gilchrist: [Absent] <br />Mr. Limpert: Present <br />Mr. Madden: Here <br />Mr. Marrie: Here <br />Mr. ScarL Present <br />Mr. Shymske: Here <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Council President Brossard: <br />If there are no additions or corrections, the Council Meeting Minutes of April 21, 2026, are <br />approved as written. <br />There are four items being requested for suspension this evening. They are Resolution 2026-34, <br />Ordinance 2026-35, Ordinance 2026-36, which is on second reading, and Resolution 2026-39, <br />which is on first reading. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Law Director Gareau, do you have a report this evening? <br />REPORTS <br />Law <br />Law Director Gareau: <br />Thank you, Mr. President, I do have a brief report. <br />• An update to a matter that I brought up to you in the recent past about some of the <br />registered sex offenders and the restrictions on residence at the City of North Olmsted, <br />the residency restrictions that the City of North Olmsted has under our local code, which <br />are different than state code.
