Streets and Transportation Committee
Councilman Shymske:
No report today. Thank you, Mr. President.
Council President Brossard:
Thank you. Councilman Marrie, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee,
do you have a report this evening?
Building, Zoning and Development Committee
Councilman Marrie:
Yes, Mr. President. Thank you. I will be holding the report on the JEDD until a future meeting
when the amendment can be made; but the Building, Zoning, and Development Committee met
on Tuesday, May 5th at 7:27 p.m. Present were Committee members Marrie, Madden, and
Limpert, Council President Brossard, Council members Carr, Gilchrist, and Scarl, the Mayor,
Directors of Finance, Law, Economic Development, Service, Recreation, and guests.
• First on the agenda was PDC Plan 387-2026, a proposal for a new Culver's restaurant with
a drive-thru and dine -in seating on Country Club Boulevard. The project will demolish the
former Lone Star Restaurant and fully redevelop the site with a new building, updated
landscaping, paving, and signage. Existing access points and shared easements with
neighboring properties will remain. The developer anticipates breaking ground in early
June, with completion hopefully by the end of the year, creating over 50 full-time jobs
under local ownership. Council discussion focused on traffic safety, drive-thru flow, and
confirming that prior design concerns had been addressed. Following additional
discussion, the committee voted 3-0 to favorably recommend PDC Plan 387-2026.
Mr. President, at this time, I move to approve PDC Plan 387-2026 and ask for a second.
Councilman Madden:
Second.
Council President Brossard:
Motion to approve PDC Plan 387-2026, Culver's, made by Councilman Marrie, seconded by
Councilman Madden. Roll call, please.
Council Clerk:
Mr. Marrie: Yes
Mr. Madden: Yes
Ms. Carr: Yes
Mr. Shymske: Yes
Mr. Scarl: Yes
Mr. Limpert: Yes
Council President Brossard:
PDC Plan 387-2026 is approved by a vote of 6-0.
05...06...26 Council Meeting Minutes....
