Council President Brossard:
Motion to approve the appointment of Councilman Marrie to the Planning and Design
Commission for the unexpired term of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2026, made by
Councilwoman Carr, seconded by Councilman Madden. Roll call, please.
Council Clerk:
Ms. Carr: Yes
Mr. Madden: Yes
Mr. Shymske: Yes
Mr. Marrie: Yes
Mr. Scarl: Yes, with comment. Congratulations Councilman Marrie, you are going to be a great
addition to the PDC.
Mr. Limpert: Yes
Council President Brossard:
Councilman Marrie's appointment is approved by a vote of 6-0.
Councilwoman Carr:
Thank you, and no further business from the Intra-Govern mental Relations Committee.
COMMUNICATIONS
Council President Brossard:
Are there any letters or communications to come before Council at this time?
Council Clerk:
No, Mr. President.
Council President Brossard:
Thank you. We will now move into audience participation. Thank you for attending tonight's
Council meeting. Council meetings are not a debate, and public comment speakers should not
expect a back -and -forth exchange. Those attending City Council meetings should show the same
respect to others that they wish to have shown to them. So if there is anyone in the audience
who would like to address Council, please come to the podium. State and spell your name and
address for the clerk. If you live in a city other than North Olmsted, please state the name of that
city and proceed with your comments. You will have up to five minutes.
Jeff Sturgeon:
Good evening. Jeff Sturgeon, 3092 West 231. 1 wanted to give a little bit of my thoughts regarding
the Olmsted Falls JEDD. I know Mr. Marrie said that you're not going to discuss that tonight until
it gets amended and stuff. Some of the things that I've observed watching this whole thing go
down, I think it's important that, one, we realize Olmsted Township, well, if it wasn't for Olmsted
Township, we wouldn't be a city, number one. That's how we became a city was from them. But
they decided to stay a township, and not a city. In fact, it wasn't that long ago, it was like in 94 or
95, our Mayor, Mayor Boyle at the time, was asked to go to the city, and we were going to take
0 -06-26 Council f0eetire; Minutes Page 7
