Driscoll Lane, and I know when police cars or ambulances come down or whatever, it's the only
<br />way out, and you make that extension road tighter, it's going to be a little more difficult for the
<br />fire trucks and those guys too. I looked on your website and I'm at the Road Diet, the Federal
<br />Highway site has the reasons for the road diet, but most of their pictures are they're taking a 4-
<br />lane road into 3 and then putting maybe bike paths or something down the side. That makes
<br />some sense, except we don't have a bike route there. But the parking is going to be an issue, and
<br />can't believe that it's going to be less accidents. That study on the road diet was done in 2010.
<br />That's way before we had cell phones, we had people under, you know, texting and everything
<br />else. I think you're asking for a whole lot of accidents there that you didn't have before. If you
<br />want to see an example of that kind of parking, just go downtown Oberlin on Route 58 by the
<br />college there. They've got the angle parking there, and it's a nightmare. Backing out, you see
<br />these big people, and everyone was running over people. So I just don't want that to happen
<br />here, and I don't want people to get hurt, when we don't... if it's not broken, please don't fix it.

<br />Hello, my name is Albina Rausch-Gringel. I live at 5955 Fitch Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. The
<br />reason I'm here is, first of all, I know traffic really well. I am OSHA certified. I'm retired now, and
<br />I started out as a laborer on a paving crew. And I'm a road and heavy highway safety officer. What
<br />I want to talk about, and I know you've touched on it by what you said tonight, is the noise. The
<br />noise on our road with the motorcycles and the rocket cycles. It's terrible. They go up and down
<br />the road. The bad part is that they do that in the evening. On a summer evening, it's difficult to
<br />sit out on one's deck and enjoy the summer. Now, we live near 480, the overpass, and the noise
<br />is unbelievable. Now, like I said, I know traffic really well. I've worked with it for years. My concern
<br />is something has to be done with the noise. Not everybody in North Olmsted is enjoying their
<br />summer, and I know you break for a whole month, but I think the noise should take top priority.
<br />There are many residents that I've talked to on the Neighbors of North Olmsted. So many people
<br />agree with me on this subject. So I'm talking about over 1,000 people. And I really think that you
<br />need to look at it sooner than later, something needs to be done. Now, I'm hoping that because
<br />the road is so bad, Fitch Road is pretty bad, needs to be repaved. And when that is done, that is
<br />just, in a way, going to make the traffic worse. They'll go faster. We live right by the overpass on
<br />480. And when they get under that overpass, they rev it up even louder. So I would really hope
<br />that you could look into this seriously, and really consider doing something. I know you break for
<br />July. In August, summer is almost over, and we're still getting to fall, nice weather, more
<br />motorcycles. And one lady told me... 2 o'clock in the morning, you can hear them, and they
<br />disturb her sleep. Now, not everybody has soundproof houses. You know, we're lucky. We do
<br />have good windows. But outside, you can't enjoy the outdoors. So I'm hoping that something... a
<br />serious outlook on this, would take place. Okay, some serious consideration. Thank you.
