Mayor Jones: Thank you for your comments, and actually, just this evening, Council was briefed by our Safety Director and our Chief of Police, and the noise complaints were one thing that did come up. In addition to working with our Police Department on things that we can do to try and help mitigate that noise. Speaking of Representative Glassburn, at a meeting a couple of weeks ago, the Safety Director and I did speak with him about addressing this issue with our state government. Because, quite frankly, as you well know, ma'am, traffic incidents and noise and everything that goes along with it, it doesn't have a city border. It's going from city to city; and I know that we are not the only city who is also experiencing the exact same things that you're here to talk about tonight. And so we are collectively trying to address that situation. It's an ongoing conversation, and we could certainly update you as well when we come to some resolutions to mitigate that noise. Council President Brossard: I just have one comment. Thank you, Mayor. I just wanted to clarify that Council recess is for the month of July, but not August. But even while we are on recess in July, the Mayor and her Administration will continue to work through those issues and work towards producing some sort of legislation, some commonsense legislation. Councilman Limpert. Councilman Limpert: Thank you, Mr. President. We don't comment a lot on different topics, but this is obviously pertinent given that we just met on this, and I've been talking, as Safety Chair, been talking with the Director that, as Safety Chair, anything related to legislation that's needed to help mitigate this, I'm certainly open to championing that and working to get whatever's needed to make an impact communicated to the rest of the Committee, and then to our colleagues to try to reduce this, because we are all aware that this is an issue and it's been going on for quite a while and just only escalating.
