Councilman Madden: No report this evening, Mr. President, thank you. Council President Brossard: Thank you. Councilman Shymske, Chairman of the Streets and Transportation Committee, do you have a report this evening? Councilman Shymske: Yes, I do, Mr. President. Thank you. The Streets and Transportation Committee met this evening, August 4th, at 7:01 p.m. Present were Committee members Shymske and Gilchrist, Council Members Scarl, Limpert, Marrie, and Madden, Council President Brossard, the Mayor, the Assistant Law Director, the Directors of Finance, Human Resources, Economic Development, Safety, Service, Recreation, the Chief of Staff, and the Chief of Police. The Streets and Transportation Committee met to consider Ordinance 2026-52, the 2025 Sidewalk Assessment. In accordance with the City Charter, the notice of the proposed assessments was published in the Westlife newspaper for three consecutive weeks to provide property owners the opportunity to file objections. No objections were received regarding the 2025 assessment. One objection was submitted concerning the 2026 sidewalk program. However, that objection is not applicable to the 2026-52 Ordinance. Accordingly, the assessments for parcels listed in Exhibit A will proceed as presented. The Committee voted favorably to recommend Ordinance 2026-52 to Council. The Streets and Transportation Committee concluded at 7:04 p.m. and that concludes my report. At this time, I also move to remove Resolution 2026-51 from this evening's agenda and recommit it to Streets and Transportation Committee and ask for a second. Councilwoman Gilchrist: Second. Council President Brossard: Motion to remove Resolution 2026-51 from tonight's agenda and recommit to the Streets and Transportation Committee made by Councilman Shymske, seconded by Councilwoman Gilchrist.
