Mr. Marrie: Yes Mr. Madden: Yes Ms. Carr: Yes Mr. Limpert: Yes Council President Brossard: Resolution 2026-69 is amended by a vote of 7-0. Councilwoman Gilchrist: Moving on, the meeting is adjourned to discuss Resolution 2026-77, a Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit statements of qualifications, SOQ, from qualified firms to provide architectural design services for the Old Town Hall Phase 2 renovation project and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the firm selected in the Request for Qualifications RFQ process in declaring an emergency. Director Wackers explained that Resolution 2026-77 will allow us to move into Phase 2 of the Old Town Hall renovation project. Phase 2 will focus on the interior renovations, redoing the first floor, making it available once again for public use. 60% of the Phase 2 funds have been secured. A request for an additional $200,000 in CBG and CBSG funds was requested from the County and is expected to be awarded this fall, making the total available funds for Phase 2 to be approximately a half a million. The total cost of the project Phase 1 and 2 is $1 million. Funding has not been explored for Phase 3 of the Town Hall project at this time. The Streets and Transportation Committee met on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 7:39 p.m. Those in attendance were all of Council, including Committee members Shymske, Gilchrist, and Madden, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, all the Directors, the Chief of Staff, and guests. There were two Ordinances on the agenda, Ordinance 2026-76 and Ordinance 2026-81.
