<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004 - 8 <br />BY: Councilman Gareaa <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />FINANCE TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FROM <br />INFORMATION SYSTEM CONSULTANTS TO PROVIDE <br />COMPUTER SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED; FURTHE9 AUTHORIZINC THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COMPUTER <br />CONSULTANT SELECTED IN THE RFP PROCESS; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Finance is developing, with the aid of a professional <br />services contractor, a new Financial Accounting Information System for the City and has <br />thereby examined the integration of computer systems in general throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council considers the services of the Department of Data <br />Processing to be an integral component of the new accounting information systems, as <br />well as the integration of computer systems in general throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Finance to <br />request proposals for information system consultants to provide for general computer <br />services, and further to authorize the Mayor, upon approval by the Baard of Control, if <br />necessary, to enter into an Agreement with the consultant selected; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORT'H OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Finance be and she hereby is authorized to <br />request proposals for information system consulting services for the purposes of providing <br />general computer services for the City of North Olmsted, in conjunction with or in lieu of <br />similar duties of the Department of Data Processing, and upon such specifications as <br />outlined in Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of the <br />Board of Control, to enter into an Agreement with the information system consultant <br />selected in the RFP (Request for Proposal) process in substantially the form as the <br />Agreement attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit B, with only such changes to be
