- r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 38 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO RENEW THE CITY'S CONTRACT WITH R E. <br />WARNER & ASSOCIATES, ING, FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO- <br />MONTH PERIOD IN ORDER TO PROYIDE CONSULTING <br />ENGINEER SERVICES TO THE CITY, PENDING THE <br />APPOINTMENT OFA NEW CITYENGINEER, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, City Engineer Paul Deichmann retired from City employment effective <br />December 31, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, pending the appointment of a new City Engineer, this Council, on January <br />14, 2003, adopted Resolution No. 2002-206, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an ageement <br />with R.E. Warner & Associates, Inc., to provide consulting engineering services to the City for a <br />two-month period of time; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement with R.E. Warner expired on February 28, 2003, but <br />additional time is still needed by the Administration to complete its search for a new City <br />Engineer; and <br />WHEREAS, it is critical to the operations of the City government that, until such search <br />in completed, the City have access to engineering services so that new and ongoing City public <br />improvement projects and private development projects within the City are not jeopardized; and <br />WHEREAS, it is therefore the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to renew the <br />City's agreement with R.E. Warner & Associates, Inc., for an additional two-month period in <br />order to corrtinue to receive consulting engineer services from said professional firm pending the <br />appointment of a new City Engineer; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO:
