CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 72- ?~ z o.i.. ~,~. .# AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 140, SECTION 140.02, PARAGRAPHS A AND B (NORTH OLMSTED CODIFIED ORDINANCES) ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE ENACTING CRAFTER 140, ENTITLED PRIVATE POLICE- MEN AND/OR PRIVATE POLICEWOMEN, LICENSING OF PRIVATE POLICEMEN AND/OR PRIVATE POLICEVITOMEN , AND RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING PRIVATE POLICEMEN AND/OR PRIVATE POLICEWOMEN. " BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohto Section 1. That Chapter 140, Section 140.02, Paragraphs A and B (North Olmsted Codified Ordinances) entitled "License Required "now reading as follows : Section 140.02 License Required (A) The Director of Public Safety upon being satisfied that the Applicant possesses all the necessary requirements of this Chapter and upon payment of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) annual fee may issue a Private Police Commission. If said Applicant cannot establish, to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Safety, that he has passed the basic course of Police Officer's Training ,conducted by either the State, County or Municipal authorlty, the Private Police Commission shall be probationary and shall be so marked. Said commissions , probationary er regular, shall expire one (1) year from the date of issuance. (B) The Director of Public Safety ,upon being satisfied that the Applicant still possesses the necessary qualifications set forth herein, and further that the Applicant during the pre- ceding year has received a certificate, from the Executive Director of the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council , at- testing that he or she has satisfactorily completed a basic course for police officer, as required by O.R.C. 109.77, may renew the Private Police Commission upon the exp- ration of the one (1) year period upon receiving the annual fee as set forth herein. be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows Section 140.02 License Required (A) The Director of Public Safety upon being satisfied that the Applicant possesses all the necessary requirements of this Chapter and upon payment. of Twenty-Five ($25.00) fee may issue a Private Police Commission.
