<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 72- ?~ <br />z o.i.. <br />~,~. <br />.# <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 140, SECTION <br />140.02, PARAGRAPHS A AND B (NORTH OLMSTED <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES) ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE <br />ENACTING CRAFTER 140, ENTITLED PRIVATE POLICE- <br />MEN AND/OR PRIVATE POLICEWOMEN, LICENSING OF <br />PRIVATE POLICEMEN AND/OR PRIVATE POLICEVITOMEN , <br />AND RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING PRIVATE <br />POLICEMEN AND/OR PRIVATE POLICEWOMEN. " <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohto <br />Section 1. That Chapter 140, Section 140.02, Paragraphs A and B (North <br />Olmsted Codified Ordinances) entitled "License Required "now reading as follows : <br />Section 140.02 License Required <br />(A) The Director of Public Safety upon being satisfied that the <br />Applicant possesses all the necessary requirements of this <br />Chapter and upon payment of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) <br />annual fee may issue a Private Police Commission. If said <br />Applicant cannot establish, to the satisfaction of the Director <br />of Public Safety, that he has passed the basic course of Police <br />Officer's Training ,conducted by either the State, County or <br />Municipal authorlty, the Private Police Commission shall be <br />probationary and shall be so marked. Said commissions , <br />probationary er regular, shall expire one (1) year from the <br />date of issuance. <br />(B) The Director of Public Safety ,upon being satisfied that the <br />Applicant still possesses the necessary qualifications set <br />forth herein, and further that the Applicant during the pre- <br />ceding year has received a certificate, from the Executive <br />Director of the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council , at- <br />testing that he or she has satisfactorily completed a basic <br />course for police officer, as required by O.R.C. 109.77, <br />may renew the Private Police Commission upon the exp- <br />ration of the one (1) year period upon receiving the annual <br />fee as set forth herein. <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows <br />Section 140.02 License Required <br />(A) The Director of Public Safety upon being satisfied that the <br />Applicant possesses all the necessary requirements of this <br />Chapter and upon payment. of Twenty-Five ($25.00) fee <br />may issue a Private Police Commission.
