I U:t ORDINANCE NO. 68- <br />? <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL to 9' - S7 <br />CHART OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SETTING FORTH <br />THE COMPLEMENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND <br />ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF <br />THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AND REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 68-134, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Safety Committee of Council has advised Council the <br />need for additional Firemen to adequately serve the City of North Olmsted ; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committe of Council has advised Council that <br />it is necessary to increase the salaries and compensation of the members of the <br />Fire Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1: That the Organizaticmal Chart for the Fire Department of the <br />City of North Olmsted ( Chapter 141, Section 141.02, " Composition and Class- <br />ifications " of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances ) shall read as follows: <br />A: The Organizational Chart for the Fire Department and the personnel <br />set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Fire who shall <br />be in charge of the entire Fire Department. <br />B: The Fire Chief shall also be in charge of the General Duty Uniform <br />Roster, which shall consist of One ( 1) Assistant Fire Chief ( Fire Prevention <br />Bureau Four ( 4 ) Lieutenants ; 'Iwenty-five ( 2S ) Firemen. <br />C: The Fire Department as constituted herein shall be classified by <br />the Director of the Public Sa*t?r?;-a.nd-Mfia Service as required by law. <br />Section 2: That effect'ive July 1, 1968, retroactively, the base salaries <br />of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as <br />` follows: <br />Fire Chief $11, 200. 00 Annually <br />Assistant Fire Chief <br />( Fire Prevention Bureau ) $10,130. 00 Annually <br />Fire Lieutenant $ 9,160.00 Annually <br />Firemen for First Year $ 7,100. 00 Annually <br />Firemen for Second Year $ 7,600.00 Annually <br />Firemen after Second Year $ 8,550.00 Annually <br />Part-time Firemen $ 1.75 per hour <br />Full-time Firemen working <br />for the City of North Olmsted <br />during off duty hours $ 3.00 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly.
