NO. 68-6 0 <br />BY? - <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION <br />AND COMPOSITION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED; ESTABLISHING SALARIES <br />OF THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHILE <br />OIV DUTY FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED; ESTABLISH- <br />ING THE PER DIEM ALLOWANCE TO BE PAID TO THE POLICE <br />EMPLOYESS WHILE ATTENDING POLICE SCHOOL AIVD <br />REPEA'IING ORDINANCE NO. 68-9, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Safety Committee of Council has requested <br />that the -Organizational Chart of the Police Department be established into <br />one Ordinance together with the compensation to be paid, in order to clarify <br />the compostion of the Police Department, and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has requested <br />that the salaries and compensation to be paid to the Pplice Department be <br />combined with the Organizational Chart for the purpose of clarification and in <br />order to facilitate and expedite the duty of the Finance Director, the Finance <br />Committee of Council, the Safety Director and Safety Committee of Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Organizational Chart for the Police <br />Department of the City of North Olmsted ( Chapter 139.02, "Composition <br />and Classification " of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances ) shall read <br />as follows: <br />A. The O rganizational Chart for the Police Department and the <br />personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of <br />Police who shall be in charge of the entire Police Department. <br />Secretary. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of one ( 1) <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General <br />Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of three ( 3) Lieutenants; four <br />( 4) Sergeants; twenty- two ( 22 ) Patrolmen; twenty-five ( 25 ) Auxiliary <br />Police; fourteen ( 14 ) School Guards ; and one ( 1) Police Matron, part- <br />time. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective <br />Bureau consisting of three ( 3) of the Police personnel mentioned in Section <br />1, C, above. <br />E. The Police Department as constitued herein shall be ulass <br />ified by the Director of the Public Safety and Public Service as required by 1aw. <br />Section 2. That the base salaries of the members of the Police <br />Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows:
