CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 69- rq7 <br />By . <br />, <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO TO UPDATE <br />AND UPGRADE ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES INCLUDING <br />OVERHEAD SIGNS AND SIGNALS ON THE TWO MAJOR <br />ARTERIALS TO EFFECT A MUTUALLY COORDINATED MASTER <br />CONTROL SYSTEM. <br />WHEREAS, Lorain Road and Brookpark Road, for their entire <br />le?gth within the municipal corporation limits of the City of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, are state highways; and <br />WHEREAS, the traffic control system on these highways is <br />in immediate need of updating and upgrading in order to coordinate <br />into adjacent communities; and <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to ask the Board of County <br />Commissioners to share in the cost of updating and upgrading said <br />traffic control system in the following manner: five percent (5%) <br />from the County; seventy-five percent (75%) from the $5.00 license <br />tax; and twenty percent (20%) as the City's portion, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l. That the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, are respectfully requested to share in the <br />cost of updating and upgrading the traffic control system and signs <br />on Lorain Road and Brookpark Road. <br />Section 2. That the City of North Olmsted agrees to pay <br />ninety-five percent (95%) of the cost for updating and upgrading, <br />and authorizes the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners to deduct <br />seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost from the $5.00 license tax; <br />twenty percent (20%) as the City of North Olmsted's portion; and <br />five percent (5%) as the County's share. <br />Section 3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be <br />sent to the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio <br />by the Clerk of Council. <br />Section 4. WfiEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect and <br />be in force at the earliest period allowed by Article IV, Section 12 <br />of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTE <br />11-1"- ?
