ORDINANCE NO. 69-127 BY MR. WEST AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPLEMEIVT OF THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT AFFIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THE MEMBERS THEREFORE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Section 1. That there be and are hereby created the positions of Recreation Director, Assistant Recreation Director and Recreation Commission Secretary. That there be and are also hereby created positions of Handicraft and Swim Director, Softball Program Director, Nature Study Director, Play- ground Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, Coaches, Umpires, and Recreation Instructors and Helpers as follows: Tennis, Art, Music, Baton, Cheer Leading, Softball, Nature Study, Football, Community Band Director, Soccer, Basket- ball, Volleyball, and Gymnasium Assistants. That the salary of the Recreation Director is hereby fixed and determined to be the sum of $3, 200.00 per year, payable monthly, retroactive to june 1, 1969. That the salary of the Assistant Recreation Director is hereby fixed and determined to be the sum of $2, 800.00 per year, payable monthly, retroactive to june 1, 19 69. That the salary of the Recreation Commission Secretary is hereby fixed and determined to be the sum of $300. 00 per year, payable monthly, retroactive to june 1, 1969. That the compensation of the Handicraft and Swim Director is hereby fixed and determined to to $800.00 per summer session, which compensation shall include the advance planning and coordination of proqrams. That the compensation of the Nature Study Director is hereby fixed and determined to be $320.00 per summer session, which compensation shall in- clude the advance planning and coordinationof programs. That the compensation of Playground Supervisors is hereby fixed and deterrnined to be $100. 00 per week each, for a period not to exceed 8 weeks during the summer months, which period of 8 weeks shall be determined by the Recreation Commission. That the compensation of Assistant Playground Supervisors is hereby fixed and determined to be the sum of $90. 00 per week, for a period 8 weeks not to exceed 8 weeks during the summer months, which period of 8 weeks shall be determined by the Recreation Commission. That the compensation of Playground Helpers is hereby fixed and de- termined to be the sum of $50. 00 per week for each helper, for a period not to exceed 8 weeks per summer session. That the compensation of the Tennis Instructor shall be the sum of $100. 00 per week, for a period not to exceed 8 weeks during the summer months, which period of 8 weeks shall be determined by the Recreation Commission.
