WOERPEL <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF <br />THE CITY OF NpRTH OLMSTED BY DELETING CHAPTER 167, <br />ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT" AND <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 1359 ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT OF <br />FINANCE, TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL DUTIES, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Official Charter of the City of North Olmsted <br />requires the Director of Finance to serve as "finance advisor <br />in connection with municipal affairs", and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to streamline <br />city government by providing for the coordination of all financial <br />functions within one department of city gavernment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North Olmste e, and the same is hereby amended by deleting <br />Chapter 167, entitled "Department of Budget and Management", in <br />its entirety. <br />SECTION 2: That th_e Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North_0lmste e, and the same is hereby amended by amending <br />Chapter 135, entitled "Department of Finance", which shall read <br />as follows: <br />CHAPTER 135 <br />DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE <br />135.10 Composition. <br />The Department of Finance shall be headed by a Director with such <br />other employees within the Department as follows: One (1) Assistant <br />Finance Director; One (1) Secretary, and One (1) Clerk. <br />135.02 Compensation. <br />The salary for the Director of Finance shall be established by <br />Council. The salary range fpr Department emplayees shall be <br />determined by Council and the specific salaries for the employees <br />within the department to be determined by the Dixector. Remuneration <br />shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. <br />135.03 Longevity Increment, <br />(a) The secretarial and clerical help of the Finance <br />Department shall receive as a longevity increment, payable over <br />and above any annual salary or hourly salary, the sum of Twenty- <br />Five Dollars (_$25.00) for each and every year such secretarial or <br />clerical help has been conti:nually employed by the City. <br />Such sum shall be paid on each anniversary date of <br />employment.
