i <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 87- 91 <br />BY: DENNIS RADEMAKER <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE <br />ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED OF A <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED PERMITTING THE MAYOR TO SERVE AS A <br />MEMBER OR OFFICIAL OF ANY ORGANIZATION OF GOVERN- <br />MENTS OR GOVERNMENTAL OFFICIALS OR SPECIAL UNIT <br />OF GOVERMENT AND TO PERMIT THE NIAYOR TO SERVE AS <br />A MEMBER OR OFFICIAL IN ANY NON-PROFIT CORPORATION <br />TO REPRESENT THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council and the Administration that <br />because of the size of the City of North Olmsted as it relates to other <br />municipalities in the County of Cuyahoga and because of the leadership role <br />that the City of North Olmsted has taken in the past, that it is desirable <br />to permit the Mayor of the City to serve as a member or official of any <br />organization of governments or governmental officials, special unit of <br />government and to permit the Mayor to serve as a member or official in <br />other non-profit corporations to represent the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO, TWO-THIRDS OF ALL MEMBERS <br />CONCURRING: <br />SECTION l: That this Council hereby authorizes and directs the <br />submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted at the general <br />elections to be hald at the usual places of voting in said City on Tuesday, <br />November 3rd, 1987, the following separte proposal to amend the Charter of <br />the City of North Olmsted: <br />PROPOSAL: That Article III Section 2 of the Charter be amended to <br />permit the Mayor, the Mayor to serve as a member or official of any <br />organization of governments or governmental officials or special unit of <br />government and to permit the Mayor to serve as a member or official in any <br />non-profit corporation to represent the City. <br />
