CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 69 By: Mayor O'Grady A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AS THE AUTHORIZED AGENT TO SIGN AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A PUBLIC ASSISTANCE GRANT RELATING TO A MAY/JUNE 2004 FLOOD EVENT IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, OHIO EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE SAID GRANT, IF AWARDED, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE APPLICATION FOR AND RECEIPT OF THE SAID GRANT, FINALLY RATIFYING ALL PREVIOUS ACTIONS TAKEN BY THE ADMINISTRATION REGARDING THE GRANT APPLICATION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, an application for public assistance grant funds from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Ohio Emergency Management Agency, has been filed by the City Administration to obtain reimbursement of City costs incurred in connection with debris removal associated with a May/June 2004 flood event; and WHEREAS, Ohio Department of Public Safety, Ohio Emergency Management Agency, by correspondence directed to the Office of the Mayor, has requested that the City Cou~icil expressly designate the Mayor as the City's agent for application for said public assistance grant funds; and WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to designate the Mayor as the authorized agent of the City of North Olmsted to make said application, further to authorize the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, on behalf of the City, further to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the application for and receipt of the said grant, and finally to ratify all actions taken to date by the Administration in this grant application; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO:
