t <br /> <br />a <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 - /.~i6o <br />BY: G~~ <br />~~te ~.~_ <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION AND <br />COMPOSITION OF THE POLICE DEPARTA4ENT: SALARIES <br />AND VARIOUS BENEFITS FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: VARIOUS RULES, REGULATIONS <br />AND EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />N0. 75-104 ENACTED JUNE 4, 1975, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Organization Chart for the Police Department <br />of the~ity o~North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Department and the <br />personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the <br />Chief of Police who shall be in charge of the entire Police Department. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of one (1) <br />secretary, two (2) clerks, and other civilian non-police personnel <br />as are authorized, from time to time, by Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General <br />Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of: two (2) Captains, <br />three (3) Lieutenants, four (4) Sergeants, between twenty-eight (28) <br />and thirty-four (34) Patrolmen, twenty-five Auxiliary Police, eighteen <br />(18) School Guards, and one (1) Police Matron, part-time. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective <br />Bureau consisting of five (5) of the Police Personnel mentioned in <br />Section 1-C above. One (l) member of the Detective Bureau shall <br />serve as the Juvenile Officer of the North Olmsted Police Department. <br />E. The Police Department as constituted herein shall be classi- <br />fied by the Director of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That Council does hereby establish salaries _for the <br />various me~Trs of the Police Department covering the years of 1976 <br />and 1977 and the same shall be as follows: <br />A. Retroactive to March 1, 1976, the various salaries shall be <br />fixed as follows: <br />Chief of Police $20,877.00 <br />Captains 18,979.00 <br />Lieutenants 17,254.00 <br />Sergeants 15,685.00 <br />Patrolmen for First Year 11,939.00 <br />Patrolmen for Second Year 13,044.00 <br />Patrolmen after Second Year 14,259.00 <br />School Guards $2.25 <br />Auxiliary Police $2.15 to $2.68 <br />Police Matron $1.35 to $2.64 <br />Full-Time Police Officer <br />Working for the City of <br />North Olmsted during off <br />duty hours $3.20 <br />Dispatchers (civilian part-time) <br />Dispatchers (civilian full-time) <br />annually <br />annually <br />annually <br />annually <br />annually <br />annually <br />annually <br />per hour <br />per hour <br />per hour <br />to $5.56 per hour <br />$3.00 per hour <br />$6,500.00 annually <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. <br /> <br />
