t a CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 76 - /.~i6o BY: G~~ ~~te ~.~_ AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION AND COMPOSITION OF THE POLICE DEPARTA4ENT: SALARIES AND VARIOUS BENEFITS FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT: VARIOUS RULES, REGULATIONS AND EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 75-104 ENACTED JUNE 4, 1975, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: The Organization Chart for the Police Department of the~ity o~North Olmsted shall be as follows: A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Department and the personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Police who shall be in charge of the entire Police Department. B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of one (1) secretary, two (2) clerks, and other civilian non-police personnel as are authorized, from time to time, by Council of the City of North Olmsted. C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of: two (2) Captains, three (3) Lieutenants, four (4) Sergeants, between twenty-eight (28) and thirty-four (34) Patrolmen, twenty-five Auxiliary Police, eighteen (18) School Guards, and one (1) Police Matron, part-time. D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau consisting of five (5) of the Police Personnel mentioned in Section 1-C above. One (l) member of the Detective Bureau shall serve as the Juvenile Officer of the North Olmsted Police Department. E. The Police Department as constituted herein shall be classi- fied by the Director of Public Safety, as required by law. SECTION 2: That Council does hereby establish salaries _for the various me~Trs of the Police Department covering the years of 1976 and 1977 and the same shall be as follows: A. Retroactive to March 1, 1976, the various salaries shall be fixed as follows: Chief of Police $20,877.00 Captains 18,979.00 Lieutenants 17,254.00 Sergeants 15,685.00 Patrolmen for First Year 11,939.00 Patrolmen for Second Year 13,044.00 Patrolmen after Second Year 14,259.00 School Guards $2.25 Auxiliary Police $2.15 to $2.68 Police Matron $1.35 to $2.64 Full-Time Police Officer Working for the City of North Olmsted during off duty hours $3.20 Dispatchers (civilian part-time) Dispatchers (civilian full-time) annually annually annually annually annually annually annually per hour per hour per hour to $5.56 per hour $3.00 per hour $6,500.00 annually which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly.
