e,:~~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 76 - '~~ AN ORDINANCE .ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE BUS DRIVERS OF THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS LINE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 76-10 ENACTED FEBRUARY 4, 1976, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That effective June 13, 1976 compensation for the bus dr ers of-the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be as follows: (A) During the first year of service bus drivers shall be paid at the rate of $5.72 per hour, After one year of service, all bus drivers shall be paid at the rate of $5.98 per hour. The normal work. week for regular full time hourly employees of. the North. Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be forty (40) hours. Said work week shall commence at 12:01 am Sunday through 12:00 midnight Saturday. It is recognized that the bus line will be maintained on schedule compatible with efficient and practical transit service seven (7) days a week, It is fuxther recognized that some employees may be assigned to work schedules to accomodate seven (7) day per week service which may of necessity involve overtime work. Hourly employees will be paid at time and one-half (l Z) of the straight time rate for. all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day and also time and one-half (1 i) o.f their straight time rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one work week. However, under no circumstances shall there be a pyramiding of overtime. The North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be the sole judge of the necessity for overtime. The time worked in Charter Service will be paid at a straight time rate and will not be used in computing overtime pay. There is hereby established a work. training program within the Municipal Bus. Line. Said training period shall not exceed thirty (30) days and any driver who is included within said training program shall be paid at a rate of $18.40 per day. (B) All full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous services as employees of said bus line or having been transferred from some other department by administrative appointment, shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual. salary until they have completed their tenth (10) year of continuous full time service. After completing their tenth (10) year and prior to completion of their fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service, they shall be paid 4% of their base annual salary. After completion of their fifteenth (15) year of continuous service and prior to completion of_ their twentieth (20) year of continuous service, they shall be paid 50 of their base annual salary. After their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service and thereafter, they shall be paid 60 of their base annual salary. These payments shall be longevity increments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance Department of the City of North Olmsted. .~..w.,.,~ ,~
