e,:~~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 - '~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE .ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION TO BE <br />PAID TO THE BUS DRIVERS OF THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />MUNICIPAL BUS LINE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. <br />76-10 ENACTED FEBRUARY 4, 1976, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY <br />NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That effective June 13, 1976 compensation for the <br />bus dr ers of-the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be as <br />follows: <br />(A) During the first year of service bus drivers shall be <br />paid at the rate of $5.72 per hour, <br />After one year of service, all bus drivers shall be paid at the <br />rate of $5.98 per hour. <br />The normal work. week for regular full time hourly employees of. <br />the North. Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be forty (40) hours. <br />Said work week shall commence at 12:01 am Sunday through 12:00 <br />midnight Saturday. It is recognized that the bus line will be <br />maintained on schedule compatible with efficient and practical <br />transit service seven (7) days a week, It is fuxther recognized <br />that some employees may be assigned to work schedules to accomodate <br />seven (7) day per week service which may of necessity involve <br />overtime work. Hourly employees will be paid at time and one-half <br />(l Z) of the straight time rate for. all hours worked in excess of <br />eight (8) hours per day and also time and one-half (1 i) o.f their <br />straight time rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty <br />(40) hours in any one work week. However, under no circumstances <br />shall there be a pyramiding of overtime. <br />The North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be the sole judge of <br />the necessity for overtime. <br />The time worked in Charter Service will be paid at a straight <br />time rate and will not be used in computing overtime pay. <br />There is hereby established a work. training program within the <br />Municipal Bus. Line. Said training period shall not exceed thirty <br />(30) days and any driver who is included within said training program <br />shall be paid at a rate of $18.40 per day. <br />(B) All full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous services <br />as employees of said bus line or having been transferred from some <br />other department by administrative appointment, shall be paid an <br />additional 3% of their base annual. salary until they have completed <br />their tenth (10) year of continuous full time service. After completing <br />their tenth (10) year and prior to completion of their fifteenth (15) <br />year of continuous full time service, they shall be paid 4% of their <br />base annual salary. After completion of their fifteenth (15) year <br />of continuous service and prior to completion of_ their twentieth (20) <br />year of continuous service, they shall be paid 50 of their base <br />annual salary. After their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time <br />service and thereafter, they shall be paid 60 of their base annual <br />salary. These payments shall be longevity increments and shall be paid <br />and computed by the Finance Department of the City of North Olmsted. <br />.~..w.,.,~ ,~ <br />
