`r..,_ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 74 -~~'~ <br />AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING <br />THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY IN THE <br />WEST 260TH BLOCK OF LORAIN ROAD IN THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR RECREATIONAL <br />PURPOSES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted authorized <br />the Mayor to purchase property for recreational purposes in the <br />West 260th block of Lorain Road by virtue of Ordinance No. 74-96 <br />passed by this Council on June 18, 1974, and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has negotiated for the purchase <br />of said land, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to ratify and con- <br />firm the contract entered into by the Mayor for the purchase of <br />said property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby ratify and confirm <br />the contract entered into by the Mayor for and on behalf of the City <br />of North Olmsted for the purchase of property located in the West <br />260th Block of Lorain Road in the City of North Olmsted for the pur- <br />chase price of Three Hundred Thirty-one Thousand, One Hundred Forty <br />Dollars ($331,140.00), as set forth in the purchase agreement attached <br />hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof as though fully <br />rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall be enacted in para <br />materia with Ordinance No. 74-96, and anything inconsistent therewith <br />shall be superceded by the passage of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to provide for the purchase of land so <br />that the City may immediately begin construction of recreational <br />facilities which are greatly needed for the residents, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : ~Q../~% ~~ <br />ATTEST: _ ( '" ~ <br />Nora T.
