CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 74- By: %~ ~~ AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES OF THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS LINE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 73-75, ENACTED JULY 17, 1973, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee and the Finance Committee have recommended an adjustment in the pay rate of the maintenance employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and WHEREAS, Council is desirous of making an adjustment in the com- pensation for maintenance employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1. That retroactive to April 1, 1974, employees holding the following positions in the employ of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be paid the salaries and wages as hereinafter determined: General Manager $11,500 to $17,300 Annually Superintendent 10,000 to 15,200 Annually Supervisor of Operations 9,250 to 13,500 Annually Supervisor of Maintenance 9,250 to 13,500 Annually Equipment Mechanic $3.50 to $5.15 Per Hour Equipment Serviceman 3.00 to 4.30 Per Hour Extra Labor 1.65 to 3.55 Per Hour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. A. All full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line having completed five (5) years of full time continuous service as employees of said bus line shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary until they have completed their tenth (10) year of continuous full time service. After completing their tenth (10) and prior to comple- tion of their fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service they shall be paid 4% of their base annual salary. After completion of their fifteenth (15) year and prior to completion of their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service they shall be paid 5% of their base annual salary. After completion of their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service and thereafter they shall be paid 6% of their base annual salary. These payments shall be longevity increments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance Department of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making pay- ments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. C. That mechanics and other employees in the garage of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be allowed the sum of One Hundred Thirty- Five ($135.00) Dollars per year for the cleaning and maintenance of uniforms worn by them in the performance of their duties in the North Olmsted Muni- cipal Bus Line garage.
