.~.~-- <br />MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, GHIO <br />SEPTEMBER 22nd, 1959 - $:15 P. M. <br />Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Ralph A. Hazelton, President of <br />Council; Evelyn Hinkel, Eddie Hixson, Wm. H. Kramer! Mary Alice Lynch, <br />Bruce MacDonald, Francis J. O'Neill, and James T. Wilson. <br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director; C. J. Oviatt, <br />Solicitor; and E. M. Christman, Clerk, <br />Absent: T. J. Raleigh, Safety Director; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; and <br />Alice Dobbins Rhine, Treasurer. <br />Resolution No. 2910 was introduced by Mr. O'Neill. A resolution in <br />memory of Robert I Gareau Father of our Mayor, Paul J. Gareau, and <br />Assistant Solicitor, Patrick A. Gareau, who passed away August 10, 1959. <br />It was moved by Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mra. Lynch, that the resolution <br />be adopted as read. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, <br />O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Resolution No. 291.1 was introduced by Mrs. Lynch. A resolution in <br />memory of Helen Donaldson, Wife of Earl Donaldson, Chief of Fire Depart- <br />ment of City of North Olmsted, who passed away August 11, 1959. It was <br />moved by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by Mr. Kramer, that the resolution be <br />adopted as read. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, <br />O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2912 was introduced by Mrs. Lynch. An ordinance accepting <br />for dedication the plat of Ohio Shores Construction Company's subdivisions <br />Nos. 1 and 2, and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mrs. Lynch, <br />seconded by Mrs. Hinkel, that the statutory rule be suspended and the <br />ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put on its <br />passage. The affirmative note on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, <br />Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, 4~lilson: Thereupon the ordinance <br />was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the <br />affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, <br />MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Resolution No. 2913 was introduced by Mrs. Hinkel. A resolution authori- <br />zing the advertising of a public hearing upon the application of the <br />Central Outdoor Advertising Company for location of a billboard, and <br />declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mrs. Hinkel, seconded by Mr. <br />Wilson, that the statutory rule be suspended and the resolution be read <br />immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The <br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, <br />Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon the resolution was read <br />the second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative <br />vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, <br />O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2914 was introduced by Mr. O'Neill. An ordinance amending <br />Section 1 of Ordinance 2755 enacted October 7, 1958, being an ordinance <br />amending Section 3 of Ordinance 2585 enacted November 6, 1957, being an <br />ordinance amending Ordinance 219+ enacted August 16, 1955, entitled, "An <br />Ordinance fixing the compensation and vacation periods of the bus drivers <br />of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus L ne and providing for the compensation <br />of employees of the Municipal Bus Garage" as amended by Ordinance 2376 <br />enacted October 6, 1956, and Ordinance 2423 enacted January 1, 1957. <br />It was moved by Mr. O'Neill, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, that the statutory <br />rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second and <br />third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion <br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Thereupon the ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon <br />its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, <br />Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Resolution No. 2915 was introduced by Mrs. Hirzel.
