Christman; President of Council Francis J. <br />0'Neilt; Henry Caster; Virginia Hodgins; James Leonard; A. L. Mangani; <br />John West. <br />Absent: Jack Foltz; Dewey Limpert. <br />Minutes of the meeting of July 6 were approved as read. <br />Minutes of the special meeting of July 13th were approved as read. <br />Minutes of the special meeting of July 14th were approved as read. <br />Minutes of the special meeting of July 15th were approved as read. <br />lkiayor Christman read a letter from the Community Council containing <br />an invitation to attend the "Sunday in the Park" celebration on <br />July 25th, <br />Mayor Christman also read a request from the Southwestern Savings and <br />Loan to change an easement on Palm Drive. The matter was turned over <br />to City Planning Committee, <br />? Safety-Service Director Del Limpert requested permission from Council <br />to advertise for 1,000 yards of cinders and 500 tons of salt. He <br />furnished copies of the new rules and regulations for the Police <br />Department to members of the Saf ety Committee, with a request that <br />the Committee go over them. <br />City Engineer Labas requested that Council ask for legislation for <br />final acceptance of Franklin Brothers Subdivision and for Manning- <br />Campbell No. 7. Franklin Bros, is Sharon Drive and the Manning- <br />Campbell No. 7 is Vincent from Hawkins to Clague, <br />Mrs. }iodgins, Chairman, reported that the Safety Committee met on <br />July 13th. Their main purpose was to review proposed legislation <br />updating our ordinances to conform to state ordinances. She re- <br />ported that we now have a mutual aid agreement with North Ridgeville. <br />A letter has been written to the Cleveland Automobile Club requesting <br />a traffic survey along Lorain from the easterly limits to the westerly <br />limits. Mrs. Hodgins also briefly explained the provisions of House <br />Bill 376, which simplifies public welfare structure and f inancing. <br />Mr. West reported that the Transportation Committee had met with a <br />similar committee from Fairview Council to discuss a possible raise <br />in the price of school pases and local fares. This was to have been <br />discnssed by the Fairview Park Council last night. They have requested <br />more information. <br /> <br />
