MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COZJNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 21, 1983 <br />Preaent: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Bierman, Logan, McKay, <br />Petrigac, Saringer, Wilamoaky, Woerpel. <br />Alao preaent: Mayor Robert Swietyniow,ski, Law Director Michael Garesu, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Safety Director Eugene Petre, Service <br />Director Joaeph Corrigan, City Engineer Ronald Zurawski, Clerk <br />of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Meeting was called to order by Preaident Boehmer at 8:10 P.M. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of June 7, 1983, were approved. <br />Before moving into regular bursiness, President Boehmer announced that Reaolution <br />No. 83-84, advertising far bids for hospitalization, medical/aurgical insurance <br />coverage and benefits for City employees,had been added to the agenda, as well <br />as Ordinance No. 83-36, amending 5ection 1195.01 of the Zoning Code entitled <br />"Height Regulations" of Title Fifteen entitled "Limited Industry - Induatrial <br />Park District". <br />Mayor Swietyniowski reported: 1) The five homes were auctioned off on Saturday; <br />four were aold for a total of $23,900; remaining hoate will be re-sdvertiaed. <br />2) Spraying for mosquitoa in the vicinity of the Rec Complex was done the last <br />week in April and the first two weeka in May. <br />City Engineer Zurawski reported: 1) Wednesday, June 8th, Engineering Department <br />viewed a training film on pat hole repair, on loan from the Federal Highway <br />Administration. <br />2) June 9th, met with Dick McKay, engineer for the 7515 Subdivision, concerning <br />drainage and looked at poasible ways to increaae reteation in the progassed subdivision. <br />3) June 13th, met with Safety Director Petre to diseuaa medisn cuts on Country Club <br />Boulevard which would be necessary for the Bob Evans Restaurant. <br />4) June 16th, uiet with Jack Garner, County Sanitary Engineer, Bud Curtiss, Dalton, <br />Dalton, Newport, regarding Step III agreements and for fair and equitable sewer <br />charge system which is a requirement to be implemented. Also, attended a pre- <br />construction meeting on the 1480 noise barriers; thia project has been awarded to <br />the Ruhlin Company of Akron, Qhio. Work will start almost immediately with the <br />construction of the noiae barriers at the yards; field work will start approximately <br />September 15th; liulk of the work to be completed by November 15th; completion <br />and landscaping will be in the Spring of 1984. <br />5) June 20th, Mayor and City Engineer met with Mayor Busch and Weatlake Police Chief <br />regarding installation of traffic signal on Columbia Road and Roae Rosd. Weatlake <br />requested modification of their agreement for 100% maintenance. Also met with <br />Ron Paul, Westlake Grant Coordinator, regarding possible constructian of culverta <br />on the Clague Road Pro3ect to determine what policy and attitude would be. <br />6) Have completed the informal bid package for tree planting along I4$0, near Grace <br />Road, and it has been aubmitted to the County Department of Community Development <br />for review.
