.~ <br />.. <br />/ . <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMST.ID <br />JULY 30, 1984 <br />Present: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Bierman, O'Grady, Petrigac, <br />Rademaker, Saringer, Wilamosky. (Mr. Rademaker present at 8:03 P.M.) <br />Also present: Mayor Robert Swietyniowski, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Councilman Tallon. <br />Special Meeting of Council was called to order by President Boehmer at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved Council consider the West Shore Cable TV request for a rate increase, <br />second by Mrs. Petrigac. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Bierman, O'Grady, <br />Petrigac, Saringer, Wilamosky. <br />Councilman Rademaker now present. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved Council approve the request for a rate increase by [nest Shore Cable <br />TV Company, second by Mrs. Petrigac, unanimously approved. <br />Mr. O'Grady, Chairman Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee reported: 1) Safety <br />Committee met on Monday, July 23rd, to consider Ordinance No. 84-62 covering the sale <br />and use of fireworks. This legislation would reduce the fine for the use of fireworks <br />from a misdemeanor of the third degree to a minor misdemeanor, which carries a fine <br />of $100. The enforcement by citation will include full time members of the Fire as <br />well as Police Departments. The misdemeanor in the third degree will remain in effect <br />for anyone who sells fireworks. Committee recommends passage of this ordinance. <br />LEGISLATION' <br />Ordinance No. 84-45 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 84-6, entitled "an ordinance to accept an easement <br />for the installation and maintenance of a water line for the purpose of supplying <br />water service by the City of Cleveland to land owned by Great Northern Shopping <br />Center. Mr. Wilamoksy moved for adoption, second by .Mrs. Saringer, unanimously <br />approved. Ordinance No. 84-45 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 84-53 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North Olmsted <br />to provide for traffic control at the intersection of Hickory Lane and Old Shore <br />Drive by the placement of one (1) stop sign on the southeast corner of Hickory <br />Lane where the same intersects with Old Shore Drive, as amended. Mr. O'Grady <br />moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance <br />No. 84-53 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 84-56 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the method by which fees for the use of the facilities of <br />the Recreation Department are to be fixed and repealing Ordinance No. 82-95, and <br />declaring an emergency. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Petrigac, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 84-56 adopted. <br />
