MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 17, 1984 <br />Present: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Bierman, O'Grady, Petrigac, <br />Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon. <br />Also present: Mayor Robert Swietyniowski, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Councilman Wilamosky (Present at 8:30 P.M.) <br />Meeting was called to order by President Boehmer at 8:00 P.M. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of April 3, 1984, were approved. <br />Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of April 4, 1984, were approved. <br />President Boehmer announced: 1) Ordinance No. 84-39, authorizing the sale of <br />surplus property, owned by the City and previously used by the Service Depart- <br />ment, was added to the agenda. <br />2) Introduced Maria Duschen, an AFS student from Bolivia, who is currently <br />staying with Councilwoman and Mr. Petrigac. <br />3) Introduced Michael Zika and Fredrich Hagemeister, Members of Boy Scout Troop <br />664, who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scouts. <br />Mrs. Petrigac moved to amend tonight's agenda to consider Resolution No. 84-35 <br />and Resolution No. 84-36 as the first order of business, second by Mr. Bierman, <br />unanimously approved. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 84-35 introduced by Mrs. Saringer on behalf of the Mayor and the <br />entire Council was given its first reading. A resolution commending the achieve- <br />ment of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings, second by Mrs. Petrigac, unanimously approved. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 84-35 adopted and read in its entirety by Mrs. Saringer. <br />Resolution No. 84-36 introduced by Mrs. Saringer on behalf of the Mayor and the <br />entire Council was given its first reading. Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings, second by Mrs. Petrigac, unanimously approved. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Petrigac, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 84-36 adopted and read in its entirety by Mrs. Saringer. <br />Finance Director Boyle reported: 1) City had received $6,250 from the State <br />Litter Grant that was applied for last year. Since last Council Meeting, has <br />received the remaining $18,750. <br />2) Last Thursday, Finance Director, Service Director, Members of North Olmsted Bus <br />System and Regional Transit Authority reviewed the audit that was completed by <br />Regional Transit a couple of months ago. RTA disallowed advertising expenses in <br />the Orange Line in the amount of $427.00. RTA also disapproved the Finance Director's <br />method of allocating workmens compensation and disallowed $16,783. City allocates <br />workmens compensation per occurrence and RTA feels it should be allocated per <br />payroll. City did not agree with RTA charge-backs on supplies sent to NOMBL which <br />..
