~.r a <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 6, 1987 <br />Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Bohlmann, Lackey, McK~y, <br />O'Grady, Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Saringer at 8:00 P.M,, in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Minutes of the Council Meeting of September 15, 1987, were approved. <br />President Saringer announced that Ordinance Nos. 87-101, 87-102, 87-103 and <br />87-104 were being added to tonight's agenda. Suspension of the rule re- <br />quiring three readings would be requested with respect to Ordinance Nos. <br />87-98, 87-99, 87-100 and 87-101. <br />Mayor Petrigac reported: 1) Board of Control met Monday to approve the bid <br />for the roof of Old Town Hall; contract was awarded to Peter Byrne Roofing <br />Company for their low bid of $7,465. Board of Control also awarded the diesel <br />fuel and gasoline contract to Sohio for their low bid of $444,350. <br />2) Scott Shepherd will be resigning from the Department of Human Resources Ad- <br />visory Board; Mayor will be accepting resumes to fill this vacancy. <br />3) Mayor's office has been receiving letters of complaint with respect to the <br />increased building fees; letters have been forwarded to Councilman Bohlmann for <br />reconsideration by his committee. <br />4) Press conference will be held at 11;30 A.M, tomorrow with respect to the re- <br />sults of the audit by Peat Marwieh for RTA, Magle Heights and North Olmsted. <br />5} Galati'shas been fined $50 plus $30 costs for the parking of cars at his <br />location; also was fined $50 plus $30 costs-for sidewalk repairs. He promised <br />to fix the sidewalks; judge did not set a time limit for. completion of repairs. <br />6) League of Women Voters has endorsed the income tax Levy. <br />7) Last August, Mayor requested the Ohio Department of Highway Safety to grant <br />North Olmsted federal funds for a traffic study. Has received notice that North <br />Olmsted has been selected by the department for a review study by the Traffic <br />Records Review Team; meeting will be held on October 21st and 22nd to discuss <br />traffic control equipment, maintenance, record keeping, problem areas, etc. <br />The review study will be done at no expense to the City of North Olmsted. <br />Law Director Gareau reported: 1) Has filed a notice of appeal in the Cooper <br />Case; within the next sixty days, all documents will be forwarded to the Sixth <br />Circuit and the city has twenty days thereafter to submit the brief. <br />2) In the past three weeks, a pretrial was held on the Nightfall Case.
