~.r a MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED OCTOBER 6, 1987 Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Bohlmann, Lackey, McK~y, O'Grady, Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. Meeting was called to order by President Saringer at 8:00 P.M,, in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road. Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Minutes of the Council Meeting of September 15, 1987, were approved. President Saringer announced that Ordinance Nos. 87-101, 87-102, 87-103 and 87-104 were being added to tonight's agenda. Suspension of the rule re- quiring three readings would be requested with respect to Ordinance Nos. 87-98, 87-99, 87-100 and 87-101. Mayor Petrigac reported: 1) Board of Control met Monday to approve the bid for the roof of Old Town Hall; contract was awarded to Peter Byrne Roofing Company for their low bid of $7,465. Board of Control also awarded the diesel fuel and gasoline contract to Sohio for their low bid of $444,350. 2) Scott Shepherd will be resigning from the Department of Human Resources Ad- visory Board; Mayor will be accepting resumes to fill this vacancy. 3) Mayor's office has been receiving letters of complaint with respect to the increased building fees; letters have been forwarded to Councilman Bohlmann for reconsideration by his committee. 4) Press conference will be held at 11;30 A.M, tomorrow with respect to the re- sults of the audit by Peat Marwieh for RTA, Magle Heights and North Olmsted. 5} Galati'shas been fined $50 plus $30 costs for the parking of cars at his location; also was fined $50 plus $30 costs-for sidewalk repairs. He promised to fix the sidewalks; judge did not set a time limit for. completion of repairs. 6) League of Women Voters has endorsed the income tax Levy. 7) Last August, Mayor requested the Ohio Department of Highway Safety to grant North Olmsted federal funds for a traffic study. Has received notice that North Olmsted has been selected by the department for a review study by the Traffic Records Review Team; meeting will be held on October 21st and 22nd to discuss traffic control equipment, maintenance, record keeping, problem areas, etc. The review study will be done at no expense to the City of North Olmsted. Law Director Gareau reported: 1) Has filed a notice of appeal in the Cooper Case; within the next sixty days, all documents will be forwarded to the Sixth Circuit and the city has twenty days thereafter to submit the brief. 2) In the past three weeks, a pretrial was held on the Nightfall Case.
