<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 21, 1987 <br />Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, <br />Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. (C.ouncilman Bohlmann nominated, <br />elected and sworn. in following roll call,) <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Finance Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of <br />Council Florence Campbell. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Saringer at 8:00 P.M., in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />Members of the audience were invited to loin members of council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of April 7, 1987, were approved. <br />President Saringer announced that Ordinance No. 87-31 would be passed under <br />suspension of rule requiring three readings this .evening. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to amend the agenda to allow Mayor Petrigac to .read and <br />present a proclamation, second by Mr. Lackey, unanimously approved. <br />Mayor Petrigac read a proclamation honoring Ernest Ress as 1987 Volunteer of the <br />Year, North Olmsted Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Mr. Ress' family accepted <br />the proclamation and a plaque on behalf of Mr. Ress who was unable to be present. <br />President Saringer announced .that nominations were open to fill the council-at - <br />large vacancy. Mr. Tallon placed in nomination the name of Ralph Bohlmann; Mr. <br />Rademaker placed in nomination the name of Russell. Bierman. Mr. Wilamosky moved <br />that nominations be closed., second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Roll <br />call on nominations: Mr. Lackey stated $ohlmann; Mr. McKay stated Bohlmann; <br />Mr. O'Grady stated Bohlmann; Mr. Rademaker stated Bierman; Mr. Tallon stated <br />Bohlmann; Mr. Wilamosky stated Bohlmann. 5 votes Bohlmann; 1 vote Bierman. <br />Mr. Bohlmann read a letter of resignation, addressed to Mrs. Linda Shore, President <br />of the North Olmsted Board of Education, resigning his position as a member of the <br />North Olmsted Board of Education, effective 8:00 P.M., April. 21, 1987. <br />Mr. Tallon moved council recess to allow Mr. Bohlmann to be sworn. in as Council- <br />man-at-Large, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. President Saringer <br />administered the oath of office to Mr. Bohlmann.. Councilman Bohlmann was <br />recognized by council and took his seat at the council table. Meeting continued. <br />Mayor Petrigac reported: 1) An administrative committee consisting of Tom Fabek, <br />Don Copeland, Betsy Jack and Pat Martin reviewed .the rates at the Community Cabin <br />and made suggestions to upgrade them. The proposed rate changes have been given <br />to Chairman Lackey, Legislative Committee. <br />2) Police Department contract was signed on April 13th. <br />i <br />
