MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />' SEPTEMBER 3, 2013 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, <br />Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson and Smith <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Thomas, Director of <br />Planning/Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources Farver <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The special Council meeting minutes of June 25, 2013 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be passed under suspension of the rules this evening: <br />Second Reading - Ordinance 2013-75, Resolution 2013-76, Ordinance 2013-77, <br />Resolution 2013-78 & Resolution 2013-80; First Reading -Resolution 2013-81 & <br />Resolution 2013-82. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• He shared a letter from Mark Owens, the Gaelic Games organizer. This year's <br />Gaelic Games have gone into the books as the most successful games in the <br />history of the competition. They set a new standard and raised the bar higher than <br />anyone thought was possible. They have received nothing but compliments on <br />the entire weekend regarding the facility, staff on site and the surrounding <br />community. They had zero complaints about the Barton-Bradley soccer complex. <br />This was one of the most organized events of this kind. They look forward to <br />working with North Olmsted again. <br />• The North Olmsted Police Station Renovation Project was awarded to Lakeland <br />Management System last week. Preconstruction is this Thursday with <br />construction activities beginning this month. <br />• Planning, Building and Engineering continue to work steadily on the <br />implementation of the Munis permits and code enforcement module. <br />• There is a 9/11 ceremony scheduled for Wednesday September 11, 2013 at Fire <br />Station No. 1 at 9:30 a.m. A press release is scheduled for this week. <br />• He swore in North Olmsted Fire Chief Edward Schepp. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />
